Job summary

Precoat Metals is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team and support Portage and LaPorte plants in all HR disciplines. This role focuses on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training, compliance, and policy administration to help our organization meet state and federal requirements.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of HR experience, a high school diploma or GED (a degree in HR preferred), proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS (ADP

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience or equivalent
• Experience with employment laws and union/employee relations a plus
• Strong communication and confidentiality practices
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support in Employee/Labor Relations, Recruiting and Onboarding, Benefits, Training & Development, and policy compliance
• Coordinate labor relations activities with plant leadership and unions where applicable
• Manage recruitment for hourly positions: post openings, review applications, interview candidates
• Conduct new employee orientations and benefits enrollment
• Maintain HRIS data and payroll changes, prepare reports
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and company policies
