Job summary

Mom’s Meals is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full scope of human resources functions and serve as the first point of contact for HR-related questions. You will conduct orientations, maintain employee files, and partner with HRBP on engagement and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years HR related experience.
• Knowledge of general HR practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work streams.
• Experience with HR systems including timekeeping, payroll, benefits.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in person and virtual orientations and process new hires in applicable systems (HRIS, I-9/E-Verify).
• Maintain employee files and records in electronic format.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee/manager questions about process, policy, compensation, benefits, and performance.
• Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and partnering with HRBP and business leaders on conflict resolution and employee engagement activities.
• Handle tier 1 employee relations issues and work towards amicable solutions with the business leader and HR Business Partner.
• Evaluate and elevate employee concerns requiring additional intervention to the HRBP or Employee Relations team.
• Support employee questions around leave and elevate to the HR Business Partner when necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement in HR programs and recommendations aligned with company mission values.
• Ensure employee and site compliance with company policies.
• Encourage people and culture practices that promote retention of key talent.
• Support employee offboarding for low-risk terminations and unemployment claim responses.
• Respond to unemployment claims and fact finding interviews.
