What You’ll Do

ThePeople & Culture Coordinatorwill assist the People Operations team with various Human Resources activities.

Location

You will be based out of our New Lenox, IL office with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote/virtual.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support including preparing emails, creating Teams posts, letters, status change forms and reports, monitoring inboxes and completing requests for child support, verification of employments, unemployment
  • Assist with preparing and updating training materials (SOP, Job Aids and Guides) to assist with the administration of HR-related policies and procedures
  • Compile and prepare HR-related reports including learning, compliance training, turnover, work anniversaries and birthdays
  • Support annual project execution including Respectful Workplace, Drug and Alcohol policy, Engagement Survey, Employee Manual/Handbook, Merit cycles and state specific laws and compliance changes
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Team with processing pre-screening information and new hire paperwork and monitoring Form I-9/E-Verify completion
  • Initiate and analyze data from hourly and Field Service Rep exit interviews
  • Support new hire onboarding tasks (orientation, 100 Day plans) to ensure a consistent experience for all Team Members and hiring managers in the US East channel
  • Support planning, execution and analysis of engagement surveys and pulse surveys
  • Partner with P&C team members and Branch Admins to ensure employee communications is posted internally (Loop and Intranet SharePoint site-Metrie Library).

Who You Are

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Management. Emphasis in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related fields preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and a passion for process improvement
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions
  • Passionate about growing your knowledge and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong work ethic and like working in a team environment

It would be an added bonus if you have:

  • Experience working in both Canada and US
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience working in warehouse/logistics environments
  • Obtained an HRcertification (e.g. SHRM, PHR)
  • Familiar with the construction, building materials or millwork industry

Being together in-person enables deeper communication, spontaneous problem-solving, direct mentoring, and continuous learning. All Metrie employees work in-branch 5 days a week. Some salaried roles offer 1 day a week of workplace flexibility with approval by their manager.

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full-time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at $50,000.00−$55,000.00. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
