Job summary

Miranda Creative is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to manage day-to-day people operations, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits and compliance, reporting to the Founder/CEO.

The role blends detail work with people-focused responsibilities in a collaborative, inclusive, and in-office environment in Connecticut; 3–6 years of HR generalist experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
• Working knowledge of Connecticut employment law.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling preferred.
• Payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Discretion handling confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Analytical skills and comfort with multiple tech platforms.
• Highly responsive with strong follow-through.
• Team-oriented with customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting administration: post roles, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, build pipeline.
• Onboarding and offboarding coordination, HRIS setup, compliance paperwork, IT provisioning, training tracking.
• Payroll processing and Rippling liaison, tax filings, PTO accuracy, retirement contributions.
• Benefits administration and open enrollment support.
• Compliance and leave administration across multiple states.
• Coordinate bi-annual performance review cycles.
• Assist managers with employee relations and documentation.
• Maintain personnel files, org charts, and compensation reporting.
• Support internal communications and HR projects.
