Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions in Torrance, CA is seeking a collaborative People & Culture Advisor to support the employee lifecycle and ensure compliant, efficient HR operations. This hybrid role partners with managers and employees across the lifecycle, delivering guidance and handling employee relations with a focus on data accuracy.

The role requires 3+ years in HR or employee relations, a California and federal laws awareness, and experience with HRIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field.
• 3+ years in HR/People & Culture or employee relations.
• Experience advising managers on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, lifecycle processes.
• Working knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
• Experience using HRIS and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organized and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to managers and employees on policies, performance management, employee relations, and lifecycle matters.
• Coach managers on policy application, performance expectations, corrective actions, and employee development.
• Support employee relations activities including investigations, performance improvement plans, separations, and confidential case management.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, changes, documentation, and lifecycle processes with data accuracy.
• Partner with Payroll & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, HR Systems, and other teams to ensure accurate records and transactions.
• Help ensure compliance with California and federal employment laws, including leave administration and wage/hour requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve people processes, resources, and the employee experience.
• Participate in People & Culture projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Escalate complex matters to senior advisory partners as appropriate.
