Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking a People Advisory Partner in the United States. You will drive local change initiatives, coach managers, and manage complex employee relations while ensuring policy compliance and alignment with company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in labor relations with unions and handling complex employee issues.
• On-site plant/production support experience preferred.
• Hybrid role requiring on-site presence as needed and flexibility for multi-shift environments.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law and HR practices.
• Degree in HR, Business or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in HR advisory or employee relations with coaching capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead local implementation of people change initiatives (org design, performance frameworks, engagement programs).
• Partner with managers to cascade, embed and sustain change plans; coach managers on people issues.
• Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance and consistency; collaborate with unions as needed.
• Provide clear, structured policy interpretation; escalate high-risk cases to Regional/Country Advisory Lead.
• Bridge enterprise frameworks with local execution; collaborate across HR functions for coordinated delivery.
• Ensure all case handling and change delivery are well documented and aligned with standards.
• Offer insights on local risks, adoption challenges and colleague sentiment to inform decisions.
