Job summary

Gallagher Benefit Services is seeking a Principal Pensions Administrator or Team Leader to transition into a pensions systems analyst role. You will lead a small team, drive automation, and deliver transformational projects for clients in a fully remote setup.

You will oversee government dashboards, GMPe updates, and scheme calculations, working with a global Centre of Excellence in Pune, India. Strong pensions knowledge and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical pensions experience including calculations and understanding scheme rules (DB or DC).
• Experience as Principal or Team Leader in a third-party administration.
• Expert knowledge of pensions legislation, including Government Dashboard and Minimum Pension Age changes.
• GMPE (Guaranteed Minimum Pension Equalisation) is a distinct advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience managing a team and delivering projects under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with SQL, VB, or XML is a bonus but not essential.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a small team of pensions systems analysts to deliver projects on time and to high standards.
• Oversee Government Dashboard automation, GMPe updates, and scheme calculation/documentation changes.
• Collaborate with Gallagher Centre of Excellence team based in Pune, India.
• Test and implement system and process enhancements.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Stay updated with pensions legislation and system functionality, with extra hours during deadlines as needed.

How you'll make an impact

• As a Team Lead, you'll manage and motivate a small team of talented pensions systems analysts, ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards. You'll act as a role model, guiding your team to deliver innovative solutions on time and in line with best practices, project assurance criteria, and audit requirements.
• Overseeing and managing requests such as Government Dashboard Automation, GMP equalisation (GMPe), and updates to scheme calculations and documentation.
• Collaborating with colleagues from our Gallagher Centre of Excellence in Pune, India.
• Testing and implementing system and process enhancements.
• Conducting peer reviews to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Staying up to date with pensions legislation and system functionality., This role may occasionally require additional hours during project deadlines, but this will be on an ad-hoc basis.
