Job summary

POWYS COUNTY COUNCIL is seeking an experienced pensions administrator to maintain member data and assist in calculating pension benefits. The role requires strong IT skills, good communication, and teamwork to support a high-quality pensions service for members, employers and agencies.

You will process new entrants, verify data, and help with refunds and CARE benefit calculations while staying up to date with LGPS/TPS regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT packages such as MS Office/MS365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Understanding of quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain member records and verify data for pension calculations.
• Calculate and pay refunds for LGPS, and handle CARE benefits.
• Process new entrants and coordinate transfers with prior providers.
• Support secure My Powys Pension self-service and system access
• Stay updated on Pension Scheme Regulations and related statutory requirements
