Norfolk County Council is seeking an experienced pensions professional to lead a programme of pension administration improvement across TPS and LGPS.
You will manage a team of Pension Leads, coordinate multiple workstreams, deliver against milestones and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with pension legislation and policies. This is a fixed-term role until 31 December 2027, 37 hours per week, Grade J, based in Norwich with hybrid/remote working.
Norfolk County Council is seeking an experienced pensions professional to lead a significant programme of pension administration improvement and service stabilisation across our Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration services.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will lead a team of specialist Pension Leads, providing technical leadership across a range of improvement, recovery and transformation activities. You will be responsible for co-ordinating multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and supporting the continual development of pension administration processes, systems and controls.
This role requires an individual with extensive technical pensions knowledge, strong leadership capability and the ability to drive complex work programmes involving multiple stakeholders.
You will be an experienced pensions professional with significant knowledge of pension administration and pension legislation.

This is a specialist technical management role and is not suitable for candidates without significant pension administration experience.
This is a Norwich-based hybrid role with a predominantly remote working pattern.
Most duties can be undertaken remotely, with attendance in Norwich or other locations required only where necessary for business requirements. Routine office attendance is not expected.
Whilst this opportunity is currently fixed term, there is potential for the role to become permanent should their be a business need.
