Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Reprocessing Operator to set up and maintain the reprocessing production line, including pelletizer startup and quality checks. The role requires reading complex paperwork, operating forklifts and handling materials safely in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include shift handoffs, data entry, and potential training of other operators. Overtime may be required based on business needs and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–3 years production experience desirable.
• Experience with dies and extruders desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate reprocessing production machinery under supervision.
• Perform pre-operation safety checklist.
• Read and interpret reprocessing paperwork (sales orders, production notes, customer specifications).
• Set up Pelletizer using guidelines and specifications.
• Start-up Pelletizer and maintain line within specification.
• Inspect material quality and weigh/record material.
• Load/unload materials via forklift or by hand.
• Attend bi-weekly shift meetings.
• May train other operators.
• Follow safety and lock-out procedures.
