Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience operating a front-end loader, wheel loader, excavator, or similar heavy equipment in bulk-material environments.
• Ability to follow fiber-blending instructions and maintain consistent material flow.
• Clear radio and in-person communication; work as part of a production team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, call-ins, and overtime as production needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end wheel loader and other mobile equipment to handle wood fiber and bulk materials.
• Perform pre-use inspections and promptly report defects; remove unsafe equipment from service.
• Move fiber from storage to blending and feed locations without contamination.
• Scoop and blend fiber according to production instructions and blend requirements.
• Load blended fiber into hoppers, bins, or conveyors while maintaining steady flow.
• Monitor stockpiles and blend consistency; communicate shortages or quality issues.
• Coordinate with mill operators, maintenance, drivers, and other operators via radio.
