Job summary

Lignetics, Inc. is seeking a Mill Equipment Operator to operate and adjust three pellet mills, perform QC testing on finished pellets, and monitor raw material moisture and roll changes. The shift runs 10 pm to 6 am, Monday through Friday, with a $2/hour differential.

This role requires physical stamina, lifting up to 80 lbs, working in high temperature environments, plus forklift certification. HS diploma or GED and basic math/mechanical skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with pellet mills and QC testing preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Must pass forklift certification.
• Ability to work in high temperature environments and confined spaces.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to do basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust 3 pellet mills.
• Perform QC testing of finished pellets.
• Test incoming raw material moisture and mix.
• Change pellet mill rolls/dies with hoist.
• Inspect process for issues and troubleshoot.
• Assist dryer operator with moisture control (4-4.5%).
• Record data and complete shift reports.
• Maintain clean work area around the mill.
• Support packaging, loader, and dryer operators on shift.
