Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Packaging/Pelbo operator at our Lansing, IL facility to support the shift supervisor in managing the Packaging/Pelbo Department.

The role emphasizes food safety, GMP compliance, and maintaining clean, safe working conditions. Responsibilities include training personnel, ensuring line readiness, sanitation, and accurate documentation while coordinating with pasteurizers for smooth production flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work indoors in a wet/humid environment and stand on hard surfaces.
• Able to travel stairs and work independently.
• Possess PIT certification and follow GMPs and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training processing and production personnel.
• Support shift supervisor in packaging/pelbo department management.
• Maintain sanitation standards and food safety as required by GMPs/USDA.
• Ensure accurate time/production records and downtime documentation.
• Coordinate with pasteurizer and packaging leads for efficient flow of product.
• Maintain FIFO for loose eggs and ensure proper line setup and run times.
