Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Lansing, IL, seeks a qualified packaging technician to enforce safety, quality, and USDA compliance while assisting the shift supervisor in the Pelbo Department.

You will monitor sanitation, document downtime and temperatures, and ensure accurate, timely production according to GMPs and SOPs. You will train processing staff, coordinate with pasteurizers and packaging leads, and uphold first-in/first-out operations for pasteurized eggs, aiming for a safe, efficient workflow

Qualifications

• Education required is a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach while lifting.
• Ability to follow GMPs and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training processing and production personnel in the assigned department.
• Help update training when equipment changes or procedures are implemented.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with food safety standards and USDA requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors to maintain sanitation and record-keeping for quality control.
