Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC seeks a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot secure software solutions. You will write high-quality code in Java, PEGA, and SQL, with attention to upstream and downstream systems and the broader SDLC context.

The role requires 7+ years of PEGA experience, strong debugging skills, and collaboration across distributed teams in a large corporate environment. Cloud-first thinking and IaC experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience in PEGA.
• Experience in Java-based development and PL/SQL.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software and design robust solutions.
• Familiarity with SDLC and system integration considerations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot integrated software solutions.

Job description

• * Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• * Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• * Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
• * Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
• * Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
• * Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
• * Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience in PEGA
• * Working experience on projects in JAVA
• * Demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software
• * Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• * Proficient in Pega development as well as multiple design techniques
• * Working proficiency in Pega toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• * Good understanding of PL/SQL

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum settings with distributed teams.
