Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a PEGA Senior Systems Architect to lead architectural design, system analysis, and development of scalable PEGA-based solutions in our Alpharetta, GA office. The role emphasizes integration across PEGA modules, cloud deployment on Azure, and secure, production-grade delivery.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive best practices in RCA, testing, and documentation to support critical business capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in architectural design, system analysis, and programming with potential independent research.
• Develop high-quality, production-ready software with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and support.
• Produce clear technical documentation and maintain a culture of thorough documentation.
• Test and ensure code quality following test-driven development and continuous delivery principles.

Responsibilities

• Performs as a key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing systems, and operational problems.
• Collaborates closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, Test Automation, and other teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence, and scope business and functional requirements and drive results.
• Participates in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software; this may often require independent research and study.
• Develops high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments, and monitoring of production health.
• Produces complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and maintains a team culture of documenting everything.
• Tests and ensures the quality of all code that is developed in line with principles of test-driven development and continuous delivery, utilizing test automation frameworks wherever possible.
• Participates in code reviews and follows industry best practices.
• Maintains knowledge, and ensures competency and compliance with policies and procedures, to be the technical expert while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills

• Must be a certified PEGA Senior Systems Architect. Lead System Architect is a BIG plus.
• Must be strong in Pega platform Case Management, Data Management & Integration, Decision Management, User Experience, Background Processing, Security & Systems Administration.
• Bachelor or master's in computer science and/or equivalent technical education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable & secure Pega Applications, Healthcare, and/or Customer Service capability experience is a plus.
• Experience with developing and deploying Pega applications on Azure or similar cloud platform.
• Ability to understand business plans and apply that information to the development of an IT business case.
• Anticipates problems, resistance, or likely objections and takes action to resolve them.
• Ability to guide, train, and mentor associate engineers.
• Proficient in organizational processes as well as capable of assessing and initiating a change in such processes.
• Experience integrating legacy systems with the Pega Platform.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis in the Pega ecosystem to quickly address and fix system issues.
• Ability to integrate with external systems of record with the Pega Platform.
• Ability to understand an existing business process and collaboratively develop a more efficient and automated workflow.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Ability to develop and maintain key vendor relationships with a focus on technology currency and best practices.
