Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a part-time tutoring assistant to provide individual and small-group tutoring in assigned content areas. You will meet with peers to clarify concepts, review material, and guide problem-solving, while fostering confidence and self-directed learning.

The role emphasizes listening to student needs, adapting instruction, and making referrals as appropriate. A background check is required, and the position is paid hourly under the district salary schedule.

• Use active listening strategies to allow peer student to determine content and pace of tutoring. [Daily, 15%]
• Make appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed. [Daily, 5%]
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]

PAY RANGE : $15.00 per hour

SUMMARY : Provide individual and/or group tutoring to peers students for assigned content area(s). Meet with peers to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes, and help students solve specific problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide subject-specific content tutoring to help peer students. [Daily, 50%]
• Help peer students become more confident, more successful, and self-directed learners. [Daily, 25%]
• Use active listening strategies to allow peer student to determine content and pace of tutoring. [Daily, 15%]
• Make appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed. [Daily, 5%]
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Completion of 9 th and 10 th grade high school education.
