Job summary

Cleburne Independent School District in Texas is seeking a part-time Tutor to provide academic instruction to assigned individuals or small groups. Students will be assigned to tutor by campus principal or designee, and the tutor may work with individuals or small groups.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and a valid Texas TEA teaching certification, with the ability to instruct, manage behavior, and communicate effectively. Work hours are during and/or after school hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• Valid Texas TEA teaching certification is required.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.

Responsibilities

• Manage learning materials and create student materials for specific lessons as needed.
• Provide instruction in math, reading, writing, science, or social studies.
• Relate positively to children and develop respectful relationships.
• Keep information about children and achievement confidential.
• Prepare lessons and reflect accommodation for differences in student learning styles.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process where available.
• Assess student progress and report to the classroom teacher.
• Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day as necessary.
• Keep teachers informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

Pay Grade: $25.00 per hr. (certified)

$35.00 per hr. (retired from TRS)

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher

Valid Teaching Certification from the Texas Education Agency

Special Knowledge/Skills:
