Job summary

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a Peer Support Specialist in Grant County, Oregon. This role relies on lived experience to provide peer counseling, case collaboration, and client empowerment within a team-based environment.

The position is 1.0 FTE, non-exempt, expected to work 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.15–$30.53 per hour and a $5,500 hiring bonus pro-rated by FTE. Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with teams and with the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and support drawing on lived experience to guide and empower clients.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of clinical notes and data entry when required.
• Help clients and family members address stigma and discrimination and promote self-help participation.
• Assist the supervisor in organizing and leading rehabilitative individual and group activities.
• Participate in clinical meetings to discuss client progress and goals.
• Provide peer support during crises alongside clinicians until resolution or alternative placement is secured.
