Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix seeks a Peer Support Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team serving individuals with serious mental illness or general mental health needs under Court Ordered Treatment at Oak Recovery Health Center.

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, located at 4451 E. Oak St., Phoenix. We offer comprehensive benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma/GED or higher in the field.
• Experience or training in behavioral health is preferred.
• Ability to document and communicate clearly with teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities supporting recovery.

• Create and conduct activities for family and clients.
• Promote community integration, independence, and self-sufficiency.

Must be able to pass typing assessment with minimum 25wpm.Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen is a plus.Bilingual in Spanish/ASL is desired.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.Must pass a TB Test.Physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
