Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Mitchell Recovery Health Center team in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time role supports individuals with Serious Mental Illness through group and individual activities, assessments, and recovery-focused services.

You’ll use lived experience to guide clients and families, document engagements, and promote community integration. Proficiency in MS Office and bilingual skills are valued, with benefits and growth opportunities offered.

• Must have High School Diploma or GED with behavioral health experience, or a related degree.

• Conduct assessments, service planning, and service delivery with focus on recovery and resiliency.
• Create and conduct group activities for families and clients.
• Promote community integration, independence, and self-sufficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of member engagements.

Must be able to pass typing assessment with minimum 25wpm.Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen is a plus.Bilingual in Spanish/ASL is desired.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.Must pass a TB Test.Physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
