Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to facilitate family group activities and support members and their families in recovery. You will encourage participation in assessment, planning, and service delivery while focusing on recovery and resiliency.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 weeks of behavioral health experience, and a valid AZ driver’s license. Certification and recovery experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 weeks of behavioral health employment experience.
• Peer Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification.
• Self-identify as a Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for 1–3 years.
• Valid AZ Driver License and 4+ years driving experience.
• Ability to work using computers and tablets (EMR, MS Office).

• Facilitate family group activities that support recovery for members and families.
• Encourage and support families in assessment, service planning, and delivery.
• Document member engagements accurately and thoroughly.
• Promote community integration, independence, and self-sufficiency.

You will be responsible for encouraging, assisting and supporting the family in expressing their perspective throughout the processes of assessment, service planning and service delivery while maintaining a focus on the recovery and resiliency. In addition, you will create and facilitate a variety of family group activities that support and strengthen a family’s journey of recovery. Other duties include promoting community integration, independence and self-sufficiency, as well as maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of member engagements.
