Job summary

PeerStar is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS) for a bilingual program in Pennsylvania. You’ll provide one-to-one support, share lived experience, and help peers move toward recovery in both English and Spanish.

Openings include full-time and part-time options, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus (or $2,000 if already certified) as a strong start for new and experienced CPS professionals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from mental health disorders and/or substance use.
• Eighteen years of age and older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completed peer specialist certification training approved by PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide hope and understanding through shared experience in 1:1 peer support.
• Promote empowerment, self-determination, and recovery goals.
• Build trust using lived experience and offer practical tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from mental health disorders and/or substance use.
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (preferred)
• Have completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by the state of Pennsylvania
• Criminal History Clearances- PA State Police Clearance, Child Abuse, FBI
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish in verbal and written formats.
