Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Peer Specialist to join the PACT team in Western Massachusetts. You will orient new individuals to services, help develop wellness plans, and collaborate with the team to support recovery and independence.

The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care, with responsibilities spanning ADLs, crisis support, and community outreach. A valid driver’s license and peer certification are required or obtainable within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle available for all working hours.
• Peer certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment, required.
• Forensic peer certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 1 year of employment, required.
• Minimum of six months' experience in human services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new individuals served to orient them to PACT services.
• Help individuals served develop wellness and recovery plans.
• Act as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience with all team members while working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Help individuals served with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Support individuals served who are involved with the criminal justice system.
• Support individuals served who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
• Encourage independence, competency, and decision-making.
• Initiate and support quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, and respect and dignity.
• Provide outreach services to individuals served on a frequent basis as required by supervisor.
• Act as primary implementer of strategies to meet Treatment Plan goals.

Who You Are:

Pay Range: $21.50-$24.00
