Steadfast Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our patient-centered care team in Greensboro, NC. You will bring lived experience to support individuals navigating substance use and recovery, both in clinic and in the community. This full-time, weekday role offers reliable schedules and ongoing training.

You will collaborate in daily huddles with clinicians, develop wellness and harm reduction plans, and mentor patients while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA practices.

Formación

• Lived experience with substance use and 2 years of sustained recovery.
• Active certification as a Peer Specialist, in good standing, in state of residence.
• Willingness to obtain certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) within nine months.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust.
• Experience with diverse populations and marginalized communities.
• Knowledge of harm reduction strategies and recovery pathways.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in documenting client interactions and using EHRs preferable.
• Familiarity with HIPAA confidentiality practices.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide peer-based support to individuals navigating substance use and recovery in clinic and community settings.
• Share lived experience to inspire and empower patients.
• Participate in daily patient huddles and assist in planning therapy alongside clinicians.
• Help clients develop personal wellness and harm reduction plans.
• Facilitate peer-led support groups and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Help clients access housing, employment, and community resources.
• Educate clients on harm reduction and overdose prevention.
