Job summary

Community Clinic seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join the Primary & Specialty Care team on Holly St. The role focuses on mentoring individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, sharing personal recovery experiences, and fostering peer relationships to prevent relapse.

Reports to the program; schedule is full-time, with some evenings/weekends for events. Responsibilities include connecting clients to recovery services, supporting goal setting, facilitating groups, and

Qualifications

Strong communication and listening skills required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with office software and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource connection to detox centers, treatment centers, and other recovery services.
Provide one-on-one support focusing on goal setting and housing needs.
Facilitate recovery groups and personal pathway discussions.
Help develop life skills such as money management and coping strategies.
Coordinate recovery activities in work environments or community settings.
Engage in outreach at recovery events and community organizations.
