Qualifications

Must be in recovery from a behavioral health disorder with prior impact on social or vocational adjustment.
Strong communication abilities and the capacity to direct difficult client issues.
Valid Iowa driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client transportation.
Must complete Peer Support Specialist training and state certification within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

Help clients set recovery goals and navigate systems of care.
Assist clients in building skills for independent living and well‑being.
Collaborate with Broadlawns Community Based Services staff to support recovery.
Model recovery and provide excellent customer service to clients.
