Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to help clients set recovery goals, navigate systems of care, and build skills for independent living and living well in recovery.

This full-time shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm) emphasizes community-based work, requires empathy and strong communication, a high school diploma, a valid Iowa driver's license, vehicle insurance, and the ability to transport clients.

Qualificações

• Must be in recovery from a behavioral health disorder with impact on social/vocational adjustment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to appropriately direct difficult client issues.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license with access to personal vehicle and evidence of insurance.
• Willing to meet clients in homes or public places and transport as needed.
• Must complete external Peer Support Specialist training and pass competency within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain State Certification for Peer Support Specialist within 18 months of training.
