Job summary

Queen of Peace Center in St. Louis, under the umbrella of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St.

Louis, is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery mentoring, coaching, and supportive services to individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to promote engagement, wellness, relapse prevention, and sustained recovery through a person-centered, trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years in recovery required.
• Peer Support Specialist Certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1-year professional experience working in substance use or behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery mentoring and coaching to individuals in recovery.
• Support consumers in identifying recovery goals and developing life skills.
• Assist clients in navigating treatment and community services and accessing resources.
