Job summary

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist I to provide recovery support to patients with SUD/mental health needs. The role includes education, coaching, transportation, advocacy, and coordination of services in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.

The position requires at least 1 year in behavioral healthcare, a high school diploma, and relevant licenses as needed. Excellent communication and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral healthcare or peer support services.
• High school diploma or above and valid driver license if required.
• Data entry into admissions systems as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer recovery support services to patients in SUD/mental health care.
• Conduct patient orientation, group scheduling, and assist in admissions.
• Monitor patient activities and ensure safety during overnight hours.
• Perform UA testing and maintain certifications as required.
• Assist treatment team with coordinating health services across disciplines.
• Encourage engagement and self-management to promote recovery.
