Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to support residents in recovery from substance use disorder. The role provides career navigation, resume support, and connects participants with MOED services and recovery centers across Baltimore City.

Qualifications

• CCAR Recovery Coach training and CPRS certification or ability to gain within 12 months.
• Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder.
• Two years of experience or equivalent education in social services or workforce development.

Responsibilities

• Provide career navigation and referral services to job seekers in recovery (70%).
• Develop, maintain and expand the network of recovery centers engaged in MOED services (20%).
• Serve as a liaison for recovery services to employers and MOED staff (10%).
• Provide case management supports to a cohort of CPRS trainees.
• Monitor and record data related to grant deliverables.
