Job summary

People-Encouraging-People seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to outreach and support individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges in Baltimore. You will provide outreach, one-on-one peer support, group activities, and case management within an interdisciplinary team.

Requires Maryland CPRS credential, excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; a High School Diploma or equivalent; reliable transportation for site visits is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential is required.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients through outreach to shelters, hospitals, and community locations.
• Provide outreach and engagement, one-on-one peer support, and group peer support within an interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate client care and refer to housing and benefits resources; maintain documentation in HMIS and related systems.
• Educate clients and families on health, housing, benefits, and community resources from a peer perspective.
