Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks a Regional Prevention Services Coordinator for the Pee Dee region to provide regional operational support and align with statewide prevention goals.

You will serve as a regional liaison among counties and providers, coordinate FFPSA and service arrays, monitor performance, and contribute to continuous quality improvement while safeguarding PII and promoting equitable access.

Job Duties:

• The Regional Prevention Services Coordinator for the Pee Dee provides regional-level operational support to ensure consistent implementation of South Carolina's evidence-based and evidence-informed prevention service array. The position exist to strengthen regional alignment with statewide prevention goals, promote equitable access to high-quality services, and reinforce fidelity to approved models across counties and providers. By serving as a regional connector between providers, county offices, and central program leadership, the position helps ensure consistent service availability, contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts, and advance the agency’s mission to improve outcomes for children and families through effective prevention practices.

• Coordinate implementation and utilization of Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) and Child Welfare Service Array programs across assigned regions, ensuring alignment with state and federal requirements, agency policy, model fidelity, and child welfare best practices.

• Serve as the primary Pee Dee regional liaison among county offices and contracted providers, providing consultation, training, coaching, and technical assistance.

• Monitor and analyze referral trends, service utilization, provider capacity, engagement, performance measures, and outcomes to identify gaps, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.

• Maintain a regular county presence and represent the agency in regional, statewide, and cross-system forums to provide technical assistance, strengthen partnerships, educate stakeholders, and advance prevention-service initiatives.

• Identify and resolve barriers impacting referrals, family engagement, and timely service access. Help develop strategies to improve referral completion, service participation, and overall family access to prevention services.

• The coordinator supports CQI activities by partnering with CQI/QA, Accountability & Data Research, providers, and county staff to identify emerging issues, gather feedback, review data, and assess outcomes. Using this information, the coordinator helps support group-developed improvement strategies and is responsible for implementing agreed-upon solutions within their region to promote consistency and strengthen service delivery.

• Develop and maintain provider partnerships while supporting performance monitoring, contract compliance, sustainability, service accessibility, and resolution of administrative or service-delivery challenges.

• Ensure that Personal Identifying Information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Social Work, Social Welfare, Counseling, Behavioral Science, or Human Services and one (1) year of professional experience.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
