The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is hiring a Staff Nurse I for the NRO Float Team covering Peds, PICU, and NICU. This 1.0FTE Flex Nights role is located in Chicago, IL and requires IL residency within 180 days of hire.

The Staff Nurse I will provide direct pediatric patient care, participate in shared leadership, and collaborate with the care team to promote safe, quality outcomes. Benefit eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license and valid BLS/CPR.
• Minimum 2 years in PEDs/PICU/NICU settings.
• Experience on a float nursing team is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric and NICU populations.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement care plans.
• Verify orders and document in electronic medical record.
• Act as preceptor or resource to staff and students.
• Participate in shared leadership activities and quality initiatives.
