Job summary

Lutheran Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a 40-bed pediatric/PICU oriented team. The position is part-time (.6 FTE, 24 hours/week) with a day shift (10:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.).

The unit emphasizes collaboration and ongoing learning to support care for patients up to age 18. New pay rates for 2026 apply, including a welcome bonus eligible up to $12,500 and comprehensive benefits such as Health Insurance and a 401(k) with matching.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in state or compact license required.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to deliver care and outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor effects.
• Respond to medical emergencies and CPR/code team as needed.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
