Job summary

Fletcher Technical Community College in Schriever, LA is seeking an ASN/RN Adjunct Instructor for Pediatrics to deliver engaging pediatric nursing instruction, supervise students in clinical settings, and integrate simulation lab activities as appropriate.

The successful candidate will evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, prepare course materials and syllabi, maintain attendance and grading records, and work with clinical partners to ensure objectives and accreditation

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution; or a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution with intent to enroll in an MSN program within two years of employment.
• A current, unencumbered Louisiana RN license.
• At least two years of clinical practice as a registered nurse.
• Pediatric nursing experience.
• Strong instructional, communication, organizational, and computer skills, with a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging pediatric nursing instruction and supervise students in clinical settings, with simulation lab instruction as applicable.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and mentor students toward academic and clinical success.
• Collaborate with clinical partners to review learning objectives and evaluate clinical learning environments.
• Prepare course materials and syllabi aligned with approved curriculum, and maintain accurate attendance, progress, and grading records.
• Foster a respectful, accessible, student-centered learning environment.
• Meet college, LCTC, and accreditation requirements, including required training, professional development, and reporting deadlines.
