Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or demonstrated MA II competencies with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred certifications listed include ARMA/AMT/CCMA/ CMA as noted in the ad.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patient and room for exam, ensure equipment and education materials are ready.
• Obtain patient intake and history data and document in CIS/Centricity.
• Carry out clinical orders per provider's instructions, including refills and prior authorizations.
• Assist provider during procedures, set up/clean rooms, anticipate provider needs.
• Perform procedures such as EKG, vision/hearing screening, point-of-care testing and immunizations per policy.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely in patient records.
• Schedule follow-ups and process referrals, provide patient education.
• Coordinate care handoffs with care/leadership teams.
• Complete referrals and prior authorizations; schedule surgeries/procedures.
• May float to other practices/departments as needed.
