Holy Name Medical Center in Fort Lee, NJ is seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant for a full-time role. You will perform front and back office clerical and clinical duties in physician offices as part of the Practice Management team.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, vital signs, EKGs, specimen handling, scheduling, greeting patients, and assisting physicians. Requires High School diploma, MA program graduate, CMA within 90 days, and 1–3 years’ hospital/office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• CMA certification must be obtained within 90 days.
• 1–3 years hospital or physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, vital signs and EKGs for patients as needed.
• Receive specimens from patients and document results.
• Register patients, answer calls and greet patients in the physician’s office.
• Explain procedures to patients prior to tests and ensure accurate charting.
• Assist physicians with office-related duties and related tasks.
