Job summary

Advocate Health’s Northwest Pediatrics in Greensboro, NC seeks a Full‑Time Medical Assistant to support a pediatric clinic serving patients from birth to 21 years. The role requires BLS, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vitals, processing tests, administering routine medications, and assisting physicians with procedures while ensuring smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR familiarity essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and reviewing health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and testing.
• Administers routine medications under physician or standing orders.
• Maintains clinic flow and communicates with patients and team members to coordinate care.
• Performs basic clinical support tasks and patient handling as needed.
• Delivers age-appropriate care across the pediatric patient population.
