Job summary
The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist II in General Pediatrics to provide clinical pharmacy services on general medical-surgical pediatrics floors, rounding with the Neill Team and managing complex pharmacotherapy. This role involves comprehensive medication management, education, and research activities.
The work schedule is typically day shift Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening coverage.
Qualifications
- Current Maryland pharmacist licensure is required.
- Board Certification through BPS or equivalent within 2 years of start date.
- ACLS and/or PALS certification desired.
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD or BS).
- ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency required; PGY-2 Pediatrics preferred.
- Minimum three years of clinical health-system experience or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Clinical pharmacy services for general pediatrics, including medication order review and verification.
- Rounding with the Neill Team to optimize pharmacotherapy regimens.
- Provide drug information, education, and care coordination to patients and staff.
- Engage in policy/procedure development, education, and research activities.
