Job summary

Pediatric Urgent Care PA in Texas seeks an experienced NP or PA to join our pediatric urgent care team. This role focuses on high-quality, same-day care for acutely ill or injured children in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Providers evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric conditions, perform urgent care procedures, and coordinate escalation of care. Travel between Care for Kids locations within the region may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as NP/PA in pediatric care.
• Current BLS certification; PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric urgent care or acute care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Excellent communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute pediatric illnesses and injuries.
• Perform urgent care procedures (lacerations, fractures, splinting, nursemaid's elbow).
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and point-of-care tests.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Document accurately in the EHR and collaborate with the care team.
