Job summary

Care for Kids is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our pediatric urgent care team in the Houston region. You will provide same-day care to acutely ill or injured children, perform procedures, and coordinate care across locations.

The role requires pediatric experience, state licensure as an NP or PA, and current BLS; PALS within 90 days is required. Travel between clinics within the region may be needed.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN/APRN licensure and active national certification as a PNP or FNP (NP) or PA with Texas licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric acute care experience as NP/PA.
• PALS and BLS certifications; HIPAA/OSHA awareness; strong documentation in EHR.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute pediatric illnesses and injuries in urgent care.
• Perform urgent care procedures (laceration repair, initial fracture management, splinting, nursemaid's elbow reduction).
• Order and interpret diagnostics and imaging; develop treatment plans and follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians and leadership; ensure compliance with regulations.
