Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations, applying clinical and administrative skills under physician supervision to deliver patient-centered care aligned with our mission.

You will greet and register patients, record histories and vital signs, assist with X-rays and labs, help with wound care, maintain exam rooms and waiting areas, and collaborate with the care team to ensure compassionate, confidential service.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Medical Assistant training or equivalent experience.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (throat and urine cultures; venipuncture preferred).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and waiting areas.
• Respond to emergencies and notify the medical team as needed.
