Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations and assist with essential patient care under physician supervision.

You will greet patients, record histories and vital signs, prepare patients for X-rays, collect specimens, assist with wounds, and help maintain exam rooms and front desk; prior pediatric experience and computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior medical assistant experience or education.
• Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Comfortable with computers and medical software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Professional and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers and patients.
• Greet and register patients upon arrival.
• Obtain medical history, vitals, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform routine labs and venipuncture as needed.
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Maintain exam rooms and front desk supplies.
• Assist with patient care under physician supervision.
