Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children6s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Center for Transport Medicine to ensure safe, high-quality care during ground or air transport of neonatal to adult patients.

You will coordinate stabilization and collaborate with healthcare teams while maintaining CAMTS standards. The role requires a BSN, IL RN license in good standing, and at least 3 years of pediatrics experience in high-acuity settings.

Qualifications

• BSN graduate and Illinois RN license in good standing required.
• Minimum of 3 years of pediatrics experience in high-acuity inpatient settings.
• Basic Life Support certification required; PALS/NRP/ACLS/TNCC preferred and to be obtained within first year.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct care during interfacility transport for neonatal to adult patients.
• Administer medications per policies and procedures.
• Perform stabilizing and life-saving procedures (CPR, intubation, tracheostomy) as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency with airway management across age groups.
• Initiate direct phone communication with the medical control physician for status and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
• Proficient with respiratory equipment, ventilators, and transport devices.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff.
