Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a pediatric setting. A BSN (or higher) is required, with IL RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.

Strong communication with patients, families, and the care team is essential. Department-specific certifications may be needed. Salary ranges are posted, and visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates as part of our commitment to exceptional pediatric

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree; ADN with equivalent experience may be considered for difficult-to-fill roles.
• Active RN licensure in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association).
• Strong ability to communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments using approved methods and tools.
• Develop and individualize plans of care and family-centered goals.
• Create teaching plans to meet patient education needs; adjust as needed.
• Provide nursing care per procedures and respond to emergent situations.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary team to identify needs and coordinate referrals.
