Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Center for Transport Medicine in Streeterville, Chicago. You will provide safe, high-quality care during ground or air transport across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, coordinating stabilization and collaborating with the medical control physician.

Requires BSN and IL RN license in good standing, 3+ years in high-acuity pediatrics, BLS; PALS/NRP/ACLS/TNCC preferred and must be obtained within the

Qualifications

BSN and IL RN license in good standing.
Minimum of 3 years pediatrics in high-acuity inpatient settings.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; PALS/NRP/ACLS/TNCC preferred and will be required in first year.
Strong leadership and decision-making in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and direct care during interfacility transport.
Administer medications per policies and procedures.
Perform CPR, intubation, and other stabilization procedures as needed.
Manage airway with neonatal to adult patients and operate transport ventilators.
Document assessments and interventions; communicate with medical control.
