Job summary

Mount Sinai Hospital’s Pediatric Transport Team seeks a Staff Nurse to provide safe, high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a BSN (ADN acceptable if enrolled in a BSN program), NY RN license with BLS and PALS, and pediatric experience. Night shift, full-time, on-site in New York. Mount Sinai supports professional growth and a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in BSN program.
• Licensed RN in New York State.
• BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills.
• Integrate assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
• Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning after hospital care.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care.
• Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in BSN program
