Job summary

Dayton Children's in Dayton, OH, is seeking a part-time Respiratory Transport Services coordinator to oversee daily dispatch and monitoring of transport requests, ensure proper prioritization, and maintain accurate status updates.

You will work with the transport team, document in multiple systems, operate radios and phones, and help ensure patient and transporter satisfaction while complying with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: HSD/GED is required.
• Certification/Licensure: Paramedic Certification in the State of Ohio is required.
• CPR/BLS is required.
• PALS is preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
• ACLS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire.
• EVOC Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification is preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire.
• This position requires maintaining a valid Ohio driver’s license, being a minimum of 21 years old, and meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital’s insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor transport services activities through timely dispatch and management of requests.
• Maintain contact with transport team and document status and current location.
• Enter, update, and retrieve information from hospital systems.
• Operate radios, telephones, and computer systems.
• Ensure patient, customer, and transporter satisfaction and uphold program quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
• Assist other departments with communications and coordination of critical services.
