Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking an Emergency Services Paramedic for the Respiratory Transport Services department at the Main Campus. The role provides basic patient care, comfort measures, and maintains the patient care environment within the hospital’s emergency department or during patient movement between departments.

Under Ohio rules, care is rendered under physician or registered nurse supervision. Required: OH Paramedic Certification, CPR/BLS, valid OH driver’s license, age 21+, and

Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is required.
• CPR/BLS is required.
• PALS is preferred at hire, but required within four weeks.
• ACLS preferred at hire, but required within four weeks.
• EVOC is preferred at hire, but required within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic patient care in the Emergency Services setting.
• Provides comfort measures and maintains the patient care environment.
• Reports patient responses to licensed staff members.
• Operates under physician or nurse supervision in the ED or during patient transport between departments.
